The event included the participation of Oswaldo Betancort, president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote; Oscar Noda, mayor of Yaiza; Miguel Angel Rodriguez, General Director of Planning, Training and Tourism Promotion of the Government of the Canary Islands; Jorge Rodriguez, president of the Regulatory Council of the D.O.. Lanzarote Wines; and Neftali Acosta, director of Arenao Producciones and organizer of the festival.
During the presentation, the role of Sonidos Líquidos as one of the most consolidated cultural events on the island calendar was highlighted., with all the tickets sold out for La Geria, reflection of the growing interest it arouses both among the local and visiting public; in fact, more than 70% comes from outside the island.
After the success of the Belingueos, who have returned to hang the full poster at each of their appointments during the spring, the festival faces its final stretch of this edition. And he does, one more year, committed to sustainability and the SDGs, positioning itself as one of the most responsible musical events in Europe, thanks to the implementation of innovative measures that reduce its environmental impact and strengthen its link with the territory.

Among the main novelties of this edition, the extension of the festival to the 28 of June, with a special appointment in La Graciosa. This action, which will be developed in collaboration with the Líneas Romero Foundation and the UNESCO World Geopark of Lanzarote and Chinijo Archipelago, It will coincide with the European Geoparks Week and will incorporate informative content about the territory. He will do it on a special catamaran outing where there will be surprises and will end with the performance in Caleta del Sebo by Los Blody – winning band at the Sonora festival, recently held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria-.
A festival that dialogues with the culture of the island
As in previous editions, in the days leading up to the main event, Sonidos Líquidos will once again display a cultural program in different spaces on the island. Thursday 4 of June, the Buñuel Room of the CIC El Almacén, will host the screening of Taxi Driver with a live soundtrack by Zabala, in a perfect pairing with the Lanzarote International Film Festival. On Friday 5 of June, The day will continue with the delivery of festival bracelets accompanied by a DJ session, in addition to the Ángela González concert, also in the Buñuel Room.
Already the day 6 of June, The public will be able to get carried away by the Geneva shows, The Molotovs, Guadiana leeches, Ángel Stanich, Nortec: Bostich + Fussible —which also celebrates its 25 birthday-, Go Cactus, The 126 and the Gran Canaria DJ Dara Ortega. They are also joined by the emerging band Good Franco, also winner of the Sonora festival.
An event with international projection
Neftali Acosta, festival director, stressed that “Sonidos Líquidos was born precisely from the search for a balance between respect for the territory and the development of a quality cultural offer.. For the mayor of Yaiza, Oscar Noda, “The combination of the La Geria and Sonidos Líquidos brands is a driving force not only culturally and promotionally but also, besides, financially helps the municipality and the island”. “Promoting events that are viable and sustainable is no longer a question of image, but a responsibility of the public manager, which must guarantee the return on investments. In that sense, Liquid Sounds is a clear example of how to do it well”, he added.

Through this festival we bring our landscape and our identity closer to all the people who visit us”.
The general director of Planning, Training and Tourism Promotion of the Government of the Canary Islands, Miguel Angel Rodriguez, highlighted the firm support of Canary Islands Tourism for the Sonidos Líquidos festival, “an event that has managed to unite music in an exemplary way, the enogastronomy, the landscape and identity of Lanzarote, becoming a cultural reference event”. Rodríguez also highlighted the important impact generated by this event, which last year reached an economic impact of three million euros. “Results like this confirm the suitability of the Ministry's sponsorship strategy, which has managed to consolidate a top-level cultural agenda that benefits both the tourism sector and the Canarian citizens”, assured the general director, who remembered that since 2021 Canary Islands Tourism has allocated nearly 19,7 million euros to sponsor 253 music festivals held throughout the islands.
